Yay! More time!

I love it when the the clock ticks the last few seconds towards midnight and suddenly flips over into a new year. It's so arbitrary and meaningless in so many ways, and yet, now I can happily imagine I have a whole new set of 365 days to do things differently with. You know, like a blank canvas or empty sheet of paper. It's a lot like renewing a contract for services or resigning a lease… "the universe hereby agrees to provide, in 24 hour increments, 365 opportunities to exercise volition…"

It'll probably be a lot like last year, but maybe more refined.

Happy new year!

About John
