Mosaic Stepping Stones Beginner's Class

Saturday, July 10 , 10 am to 6 pm, I'm teaching a 1 day workshop on making Mosaic Stepping Stones at Cycling Salamander Gallery in Charlevoix, MI. To sign up for the class, call the gallery at 231.547.2333. Registration deadline for the class is July 1.

This is a great introductory class in the art of mosaic, covering basic skills through demonstration and hands-on experience. At the end of the workshop, you will have completed your first mosaic stepping stone. But it need not be your last— The class fee of $120 covers the cost of all materials (glass, tile, concrete, etc.) including a mold for you to take home so that you can continue to practice your mosaic skills. Please specify which of the shapes below you would like when you register for the class. All necessary tools will be provided for use during the class.

Mosaic Stepping Stone Molds, 12" diameter

Molds are made with superior strength, high quality, and high gloss ABS plastic. Molds feature a 7° relief and rounded corners for better release, making stones even easier to create. All Mosaic Art™ stepping stone molds have a lifetime guarantee.

About John

John T. Unger If my job as an artist is to fill the world with "more things," I feel it is equally important that I reclaim materials from the waste stream to make space for my work. — John T. Unger

I believe creative re-use has the potential to spark new ways of looking at the world… if one thing can be turned into another, what else can we change? Successful recycled art encourages creativity in others— it's alchemical, magical, subversive, and transformative by nature. Read On
