Great Bowl O' Fire Video

It took me a couple days to figure out a good way to post video to the blog here, but I finally did. You can now click on the thumbnails below to see the Great Bowl O' Fire with a nice roaring blaze.

I've dropped the sound out: partly to make the file smaller and partly because I was having a typically philosophical campfire discussion in the background, as I shot the clip. To hear the lovely crackle and pop of the fire, and participate in the discussion of life's great mysteries, I guess you'll have to pull up a seat around your very own Great Bowl O' Fire. While it's true that online viewing escapes the hazards of smoke in your eyes or mosquitoes buzzing about your ears, I don't believe it can really compare to the thrill of having the most bad-ass pit in the 'hood. I know I'm digging it!

About John

John T. Unger If my job as an artist is to fill the world with "more things," I feel it is equally important that I reclaim materials from the waste stream to make space for my work. — John T. Unger

I believe creative re-use has the potential to spark new ways of looking at the world… if one thing can be turned into another, what else can we change? Successful recycled art encourages creativity in others— it's alchemical, magical, subversive, and transformative by nature. Read On
