A beautiful thing just happened… the bill for my store over at CafePress came yesterday and for once I didn't owe them anything. I had sold just enough tee shirts to cover the cost of the storefront.
I've been considering canceling the account, due to having made no sales until now, but I know this is mostly my own fault… I've done just about exactly no promotion of the Tee's and assorted products, so it was no surprise to find that they weren't just flying off the shelves. There's only so much time and energy in the day, and even with heavy pimping of the shirts I don't expect riches. Hence, it's been kind of low on the priority list. But I'm a bit inspired this morning, so I figure, what the heck, a little reminder won't hurt.
I got shirts. I got lot's o' shirts. Coffee mugs, thongs, bags and BBQ aprons. I spent some time previewing all the available options and limited the swag to the products that look best with each design, but there's still a lot of stuff if you wanted to pick up some genuine, bona fide JTU gear. And hey, all the drawings are pretty sweet.
So go check it out. Even though you might be reading this at home, in the dark, in the middle of the night in all your nakedness, I know you gotta wear clothes sometimes. Here's a few samples of what you can find over there:
The images on the Tees above are all based on elements from the paintings of Jean Michel Basquiat. I put together a collection years ago that I meant to turn into an image font, but later decided to use for other ends. Such as Tee shirts. Or Illustrations for the Postcards From The Land Of The Dead, now posting every day over at the new writing blog I got No Zen.
